I have worked with Dave Horton for around 20 years as both owner of a design business and senior leader in a large multi disciplinary company, working on many projects for blue chip clients with him. Dave always does his utmost for the client and if I wanted a building constructed he would be my first approach. He has deep knowledge of construction and management of consultants and a reputation of being both demanding but fair. Most consultants like working with him as they know where they stand. Projects which involve coordination and management of mutidisciplinary teams are always the most challenging. In June 2019 Dave was instrumental in ensuring that the multimillion pound project for which I was responsible was put into operation on time and within budget.
Throughout the project Dave’s pragmatic approach to resolving both contractual and technical challenges ensured the project remained on track and free from safety-related incidents. From the outset of the project due to the number of specialist suppliers it was clear there would be hurdles to overcome. Throughout the different phases Dave was always supportive and managed to find a solution to managing different types of suppliers whilst ensuring the build programme remained on schedule.
My personal experience of working with Dave tells me he is someone who can manage and coordinate projects involving coordination of multidisciplinary suppliers and he is able to do this from project conception to completion.
